This annual award is made by SERA to an early-career educational researcher for excellence and promise in their work.
The prize is awarded to the best research paper written by an early-career researcher based in Scotland and is presented annually at the SERA conference.
The award will be presented at the next in-person SERA conference and consists of a certificate, a cash prize of £250, conference fee and attendance at the conference dinner. The winner of the prize will be encouraged to present the paper at the SERA conference in the following year and to submit it for consideration by the Scottish Educational Review.
