Lesson Study has become a popular form of teacher-led professional learning in many parts of the world. With a national policy context supportive of teachers’ professional learning and ‘practitioner inquiry’, Scotland is ideally situated to develop Lesson Study as a key feature of professional development in schools and other educational settings.

This interactive seminar will offer delegates the opportunity to:

  1. Explore the potential of Lesson Study as a professional learning approach for all education practitioners.
  2. Discuss the possibilities for collaborative projects that straddle schools, universities and other educational settings.

For more information about Lesson Study see our latest PERF blog post at https://www.blogs.hss.ed.ac.uk/peresearch/lesson-study-its-not-new-by-paul-mcmillan-mike-jess-and-wilma-irvine/

Tea and coffee will be provided from 5pm and the presentation will begin at around 5.15pm.
